Week of February 26th

posted Feb 25, 2018, 5:09 PM by Ella Frazier
This week 5th grade will continue to practice all fraction skills and all operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) with decimals.  We may begin our next topic, measurement, at the end of the week.  In science we will continue with cellular life processes and begin body systems.  Students will be creating a model of the human body.  Fourth grade will continue with decimals as fractions and adding fractions.  They may also begin measurement at the end of the week.  In science, they will finish up with weathering and erosion and begin rocks and minerals.
Congratulations to Colin Weeks and Victoria Ross for competing in the system wide spelling bee.  Congratulations to Victoria for winning the bee.  Great job!
Don't forget Wednesday is the last day to turn in Coupon Book orders.  All sample books used to sell must be paid for or returned.
We are having a problem with students not having a pencil to use in class.  Please ask your student if they need pencils.
This week is Read Across America week.  Each day is a special event.  Monday is crazy sock day.  Tuesday is twin day.  Wednesday is crazy/wacky hair day.  Thursday is crazy hat day and Friday is college T-shirt day.
Progress reports will be sent home Friday.
